I've always felt that whatever's publicly filed is public, so I see no undue reduction in the privacy interest of litigants just because the info would be more readily accessible on the internet - the courts may respond by implementing some sort of appellate-level protective order mechanism, tho I have a hard time seeing how info which is public record at the trial court level cd later be effectively protected
