What's Up with vNotices!
and eNotes!
| The CourtStuff.com
feature called vNotices! is the next generation of my original
eNotes! scheme. No features are lost or changed (just a name
change for now!). |
| Future plans:
There are currently specifications going through the Internet
"Request for Comment" adoption scheme that specify items
called "vCard" and vCalendar".These are methods for
transferring Business Card and Calendar/Scheduling Information via
the Internet as email attachments. Of particular interest is the
vCalendar Spec because it will allow me to also send the actual
calendar data along with the email notices you presently receive.
The "email with the vCalendar attachment" is what I'm
calling a vNotice! and when you receive the vNotice, if you have a
Calendar/Scheduling program that is vCalendar
"aware", your Calendar will pop-up with the Appointment,
Date, Time etc filled in. You only need to accept it to add it to
your Calendar. |
| Those of you who were
at the DAYL "Dinner with the Civil Judiciary", October
27th, will recall seeing my demo of how this will work. For the
rest of you - expect me to deliver it to you as a belated
Christmas present during the 1st part of 1999. |
Packages that are
vCalendar/vNotice ready include:
Microsoft Outlook 98
Netscape Communicator 4 Professional Edition
Lotus Organizer 97 GS
Starfish Software Sidekick 98
Think your Calendar/Scheduler might
be compatible
Click this vNotice link to see.
(Clicking and/or Drag and Drop the ".vcs" file into your
calendar should automatically make an appointment for 3pm on
December 16th)

vNotice Link in the Calendar portion: http://courtstuff.com/5th/05961845.htm)
